A Note About Nature: Palmetto Bugs Our home is located in a beautiful beachside area where warm weather and humidity are part of the charm—and so is the local wildlife. While we have regular professional pest control in place and keep the property thoroughly clean, occasional sightings of palmetto bugs (large outdoor cockroaches common in coastal regions) may happen. They are not a reflection of cleanliness, but rather a part of life near the coast. We do our best to prevent their entry, but we want to set clear expectations in case you encounter one during your stay. River Crossing is a peaceful community with a few unique rules to help keep things quiet and enjoyable for everyone: 🚫 No motorcycles 🚫 No trailers 🚫 No golf carts 🚫 No swimming in the ponds 🏊 Pool hours are sunrise to sunset Thanks for helping us respect the neighborhood! 😊 This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $49 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $3 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
